Hip-Hop fans felt all the feels when Nicki Minaj fell to the floor and bowed at Lauryn Hill’s feet backstage during the Tidal X 10:15 charity concert. The moment proved not all female emcees are catty, and that Minaj was truly humbled to meet one of her favorite artists.
However Foxy Brown, a formidable lyricist in her own right, hopped on Instagram Sunday (Oct. 23) to throw what some believe was just a pinch of shade Lil Kim’s way. While The Pinkprint artist gave Ms. Hill all the praise in the world and has done so for other female emcees, (Queen Latifah, Eve) Nicki doesn’t have the best relationship with Lil Kim, and from the post Foxy played on that just a teeny tiny bit.
“I laugh when they say she never gives it up the greats cause she’s humbly bowed to both L Boogie (my fave) and Fox boogie publicly,” Brown captioned. “Maybe y’all mad b**ches just aren’t who she considers “The Bar.”
Lil Kim hasn’t responded, and Nicki Minaj could very well be staying out of this one. But look on the bright side, if you wanted to do some traveling, you just went RIGHT back to the 90s free of charge.
