Frank Ocean fixates on remaining an enigma. Since his stellar debut album in 2012, Channel Orange, he has left the music industry and fans yearning for more. Yet we’ve only gotten small teasers, like an alleged release date that came in 2015. But when July came we didn’t even get a single. It seems though, that Frank might return this year; as reports have been floating around that he held a VIP listening party in New York City last night (Feb 29).
Frank previously shared that the album was titled Boys Don’t Cry on his Tumblr page. At the party allegedly, there were some snippets of new music. According to MTV News, a snippet was recently released on SoundCloud, but was swiftly taken down by Ocean’s team. Regardless of the musical tease, it seems like Frank might actually be making a comeback, considering how just last month, Rich the Kid alluded to a possible collaboration with Ocean.
In the meantime, here is some concrete evidence from Twitter of Ocean’s possible musical resurrection.
