While Travis Scott’s latest album Astroworld garnered a number of positive reviews, there was at least one person who wasn’t pleased with the project. Frank Ocean has reportedly filed a cease and desist against Scott in order to remove his vocals from one of the album’s singles, TMZ reports.
As you may know, Frank was reportedly featured on the single “Carousel.” According to sources at TMZ, the singer did not approve of the use of his voice on the single, however. Ocean’s issue was not specified but many speculate it has something to with the alterations done to Ocean’s voice on the single. “Carousel” features some auto-tune to Frank’s parts as well as changes in his pitch.
Frank’s cease and desist order isn’t the only controversy that surrounded Travis Scott’s album. After the rapper reportedly nabbed the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 for two weeks in a row, Nicki Minaj threw jabs at him on her Queen Radio show, accusing Trav of boosting sales by selling merch bundles. She also claimed she wanted to “punch” him in the face during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
Let’s hope Travis and Frank handle their issue a little more peacefully.
