
Freddie Gibbs taps into his underlying appreciation for EDM in his fresh, unexpected collaboration with Toronto’s lead duo Zeds Dead. The ESGN rapper steps outside of the box as he sings over the bass-heavy, dubstep-influenced record.
“Got a cocaine wrist/Never spend a dollar on a broke, lame bitch,” Gibbs raps. “Pocket full of bands/And my motherfucking friends to the end.”
After dropping off mixtapes like Shadow of a Doubt and his collaborative project with Madlib Piñata, “Back Home” is the first electronic-based, international we’ve received from the Gary, Indiana lyricist.
