Future is the latest artist to snag a cover of Rolling Stone, dishing on his beginnings as a rising artist in Atlanta to his stance on music today, concerning Desiigner’s familiar sound.
When asked by a journalist for his thoughts on the “Panda” rapper, the Dirty Sprite 2 artist barely spent any time on the G.O.O.D. Music signee. “I never worried about anyone else … I don’t even want his name in the article,” he said.
Future then responded to questions on Ciara’s supposed lawsuit, briefly stating that he “can’t deal with it.”
“I can’t even think about it. I never imagined my life would be like that: ‘I’m going to sue you and take away from you,'” he said. “I don’t know how to deal with something like that. All I know is record, record, record, record.”
When asked if he ever wished ill will upon Ciara, the “March Madness” rapper revealed he would never do such a thing and that her happiness and success makes him proud because it directly influences their son.
He then shifted his attention to Russell Wilson, Ciara’s fiance, and responded to the interviewer’s question on whether or not he feels uncomfortable when he sees baby Future interacting with the Seattle Seahawks QB.
“It’s something that’ll take more time for me. It ain’t even about [him] playing daddy. I don’t even want to think about it,” he admits. “That’s my son forever. My son is going to be able to read this. He’s going to be able to look at those pictures. He’s going to be able to have a judgment for himself, and have a conversation with me man-to-man. That’s my blood. He is me. I am him. We is one.”
Another topic concerned Future’s consumption of lean, going into detail as to why he started to use the codeine concoction in his everyday endeavors.
“It started making me more relaxed. Sometimes you experience anxiety, and it did me some good for that. I don’t feel like I ever abused it. I used it for what I felt was needed.”
