Future landed at the center of controversy after plus-size model, Naomie Chaput, accused him of banning plus-size women from Story Nighclub in Miami. But what was originally just an Internet scandal, is now turning into a legal nightmare. Chaput is reportedly pursuing legal action against the parties involved in the case, BuzzFeed reports.
Chaput, who also goes by Nao, would not go into the specifics of her legal case, but confirmed that she was upset with both Future and the club organizers. Nao originally stated that the club implemented a “no fatties” policy at the request of Future.
The model doubled down on her account of the incident to BuzzFeed, providing the publication with screenshots of a conversation she had with Future over Instagram Messages. Future informed Nao that he was not responsible for the ban; instead, it was the club who discriminated against plus-size women.
“Can you then say (if it’s true) for everyone that you do not support Story Miami Club and their fat phobic ways for literally telling me and my friend NOT to come, on your behalf and LYING to us, that it was per your request that ‘not fatties’ were allowed?” Chaput wrote in response.
Future replied: “U lied on my name. U should’ve said Story told u that shit. U said my name.”
Chaput explained to The Wzrd artist that she attempted to get in contact with his team to no avail. She also restated her suggestion that the rapper call out Story for their discrimination. “If you condone this behavior, your call not mine,” Chaput wrote.”U condone accusing the wrong person and lying.. that’s evil! Spread the truth next time when u falsely accuse someone! Your call,” Nao continued.
Future has denied his involvement in the situation altogether. He initially responded to Nao’s account on Twitter, writing, “STOP CAPPIN ON MY NAME..I love all women.” Nevertheless, Nao’s publicist, Daniel Bouabdo said the club promoter claimed that Future issued the “no fatties” rule.
So, someone is fibbing, here. It’s unclear whether Nao is going after Future, Story, or both. Check out the screenshots from her conversation with the rapper here.
