The Atlanta native just made history as the first artist to have back-to-back number one albums two weeks in a row. His latest effort HNDRXX took the top spot on the Billboard 200 chart selling 121,000 album equivalent units, with 48,000 traditional album sales. The 18-track LP replaced his self-titled album which was released the week prior.
Nayvadius is the first artist to achieve the impressive honor in the chart’s 61 year history. Future, which has been bumped to number two originally sold about 120,000 units as well. But the history making doesn’t stop there. According to Billboard with HNDRXX and the self-titled project, Future also became the first artist in a year to hold down the number one and number two spots on the charts. The last person to do so was Prince last year at the time of his death.
Well done, sir.
