The #FutureHive has spoken.
After the surprise release of Future’s fourth album EVOL, estimated sales prove his takeover in 2016 is in full swing. According to Chart News and Hits Daily Double, first-week projections for EVOL have the rapper sitting pretty with 110,000 to 115,000 units sold.
With the addition of streams, this pushes up sales to 145,000 to 150,000 giving him the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart next week.

The three-peat comes just weeks after the release of his first mixtape of 2016, Purple Reign. His album was announced on DJ Khaled’s “We The Best Radio” show on Beats 1 and later dropped exclusively on Apple Music Friday (Feb 5.) His previous albums, DS2 and What A Time To Be Alive project with Drake, shot to the top of the charts, leaving the magic to happen for the third time.
Rounding out the rest of the chart are more emcees, pop favorites and a legend. Elton John’s Wonderful Crazy Night is projected to move 58,000-63,000 while Wiz Khalifa’s tentatively titled Khalifa album with a projection of 45,000 to 50,000 copies.
Completing the hip-hop circle is Future’s semi-arch nemesis Young Thug with I’m Up selling a projected 14,000 to 16,000 copies.
Looks like Future has no worries in 2016, despite the whole million-dollar lawsuit from his former flame, Ciara.
