Shyne’s opinion on Kendrick Lamar’s debut album good kid, m.A.A.d. city has been making a lot of buzz lately. However, rapper Game may have Shyne thinking twice about what he says next.
MTV News spoke to Game regarding the situation, where he stated, “Personally, I think Shyne should just back away and let the kid breathe and if not—I don’t know, we might find ourselves face-to-face or shit that nobody really wants to see happen.”
He elaborated more on his stance for Kendrick, adding, “Kendrick is non-confrontational. He’s not a thug; he’s not a gang banger. He’s just a dope, hip-hop lyricist, but he’s from the streets and he got a lot of ties out here and a lot of good hood niggas with him and I’m one of them.”
When VIBE asked Kendrick about his personal take on the matter, he was nonchalant. “Shyne’s diss? It’s his opinion,” says Lamar. “One opinion can’t stop what the world thinks.”
Do you guys think Shyne was right in expressing his opinion? Also, is Game involving himself in another man’s beef justified? Let us know your opinions.
