Chicago rapper Gemstones formally known as Gemini, is back.
At one point he was signed to Lupe Fiasco’s 1st & 15TH imprint on Atlantic Records, and he’s also scribed verses on Lupe’s Grammy-award winning Food & Liquor and his other disc The Cool. In addition to showcasing his dope lyrical penmanship, he has also toured with Kanye West and Rihanna.
And he just recently released the gritty visual for his single “Selfish,” which features singer Precious. The video is crafted like a short film, and showcases the trappings of a child caught in a circular vicious cycle of abuse. You’ll see disturbing interludes of drug use, child sexual abuse and tangible suicidal attempts laced with pills alongside slit wrists.
