Gucci Mane is the latest rapper to get slapped with a hefty child support fee. The rapper’s ex Sheena Evans is reportedly taking him back to court to request he fork over $20,000 per month in child support, according to a new report by The Blast.
Evans is reportedly the mother of Guwop’s son Keitheon. According to court documents obtained by People, a judge originally ordered the rapper to pay $2,026.49 in 2011. Evans is asking for nearly 10 times the initial fee due to the East Atlanta artist’s “significant increase in income” from recent music and business endeavors. She claims the rapper has “thrived financially” since he was released from prison in 2016.
Evans reportedly also cites Gucci’s recent wedding to Keyshia Ka’oir, which totaled a whopping $1.7 million in costs. The wedding was also aired as a 10-part special on BET in Dec. 2017, entitled Gucci Mane and Keyshia Ka’oir: The Mane Event.
In addition to monthly child support, Evans is requesting Gucci pay for a caregiver for Keitheon, medical expenses, and maintain a life insurance of at least $5 million.
Guwop previously wrote about his son in his 2017 memoir, The Autobiography of Gucci Mane. “I know what you’re thinking. What son? Truth is I didn’t know him all that well either. I’d only learned I had a child a year before. He was already 10 months old,” he said. “A girl I used to see had a baby and people were saying it looked like me. I hadn’t even known she was pregnant. I reached out and asked her if it was mine. She was unsure. I took a blood test and sure enough, I was the father of the little boy.”
