H.E.R. has already won 2019. Aside from snagging an armful of major category nominations, she can say she has also graced the Grammy stage as a performer. The newly-minted Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter wooed the crowd with her guitar solo and a full choir and band.
H.E.R. recently covered VIBE‘s Special Grammy’s Issue, where she talked about what her Grammy nominations meant. “My reason for being anonymous in the beginning was to make it about the music and really keep the focus on the music, so being nominated is like, ‘Wow, I did exactly what I wanted to do,’ which was to be recognized for my music and nothing else,” H.E.R. had said, already humbled by her five nominations.
