Sorry folks, Kanye West is postponing the release of his highly anticipated album, Yandhi once again. The rapper made the announcement on Twitter Monday night (Nov. 12).
“It felt so good being on the stage last night with my brother Cudi,” Kanye said of performing with Kid Cudi at the 2018 Camp Flog Gnaw festival. “After performing again, I realize the new album I’ve been working on isn’t ready yet. I’ll announce the release date once it’s done. Thank you for understanding.”
Kanye’s Yandhi album was originally supposed to drop in Sept. 2018. Kim Kardashian later announced that it would arrive on Black Friday (Nov. 23).

Despite the delay, Kanye has revealed certain details about the album, although it’s hard to say if anything that comes out of his mouth (or on social media) is true at this point. According to him, Rihanna, Tekashi 6ix9ine, and the late XXXTentacion will be featured on the upcoming project. He also noted that Nicki Minaj will be on the album and will assist with a song about body shaming.
The announcement comes shortly after Kanye declared that he was “distancing” himself from politics due to his disagreement with Candace Owens concerning the Blexit campaign.
Ye has not given fans another release date at this time.
