Surprise, surprise. Drake brought out all of the big names in the music industry for his last Summer Sixteen tour date in New York City (Aug. 8).
It may have been only right he brought out New York’s hottest MC’s Fat Joe, Remy Ma, Cam’ron, and Juelz Santana, but the rapper had his fans in awe after introducing J. Cole to the stage. The Dreamville leader may prefer to remain incognito most of the time, but he never ceases to amaze his fans when it comes to putting on a great show. When he steps out, he shows out.
Cole performed his hits, “No Role Modelz” and “A Tale Of 2 Citiez” from his 2014 Forest Hills Drive album, which went double platinum with no features this year. He also performed his verse on Jeremih’s single, “Planez,” while showing love to the artist and letting the crowd know “y’all gotta sing this sh*t like my ni**a was here.” At the end of his performance, Drake paid accolades to his partner in the game, calling him “one of the smartest, greatest, most legendary artists of our generation.”
Can J. Cole release another project already?

Oh yeah, and it seems like the Drake vs. Charlamagne Tha God feud might have been put to an end last night. The rapper kept his word and really bought bottles for Charlamagne. The two seemed to have been having a good time.
