The Jackson clan just got a little bit bigger.
Janet Jackson took to Facebook Wednesday morning (April 6) to speak directly to her fans and give them an update on her Unbreakable world tour. Although it kicked off August 31 in Vermont, there have been a few bumps along the way with scheduling due to Jackson having to undergo surgery. However, the 49-year-old just announced on Facebook she has to postpone the second leg of the tour indefinitely because of a “sudden change”
“We’re on the second leg of the tour, and there actually has been a sudden change. I thought it was important that you’d be the first to know,” she said. “My husband and I are planning our family. So I’m going to have delay the tour. Please try and understand that it’s important that I do this now. I have to rest up, doctors orders.”
Jackson’s husband, Wissam Al Mana, whom she’s been married to since 2012, is a businessman who owns a Qatar based conglomerate. The news comes as a welcomed surprise for the fans of the “No Sleep” singer and adds a bit more context to the several tour cancelations.
“The All For You” entertainer, who could barely contain her smile, signed off by thanking her band, crew, and Live Nation for their unwavering support and professionalism as well as her fans for their continued love and loyalty.
No word on how far along into planning Jackson and Wissam are, but as soon we know, you’ll know. Congrats to the couple.
