Janet Jackson is on cloud nine with the arrival of her Unbreakable album and a successful world tour underway. But now she’s received great news in the realm of music.
The “No Sleeep” singer received a nomination for the 2016 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, alongside legendary rap group N.W.A. and famed vocalist Chaka Khan. This news arrives a few days after Janet released her eleventh studio album. The project features Missy Elliott and J. Cole, and leaves enough room for Jackson to flex her vocals throughout the 17-track soundscape.
The final inductees will be revealed in December, with a ceremony to follow in April 2016.
