It’s all business in Hov’s world. According to Billboard, Jay Z is returning to business with the Barclays Center as Roc Nation formed a new partnership.
When CEO Jay Z added Roc Nation Sports to the family, he had to part ways with Barclays out of conflict of interest. He left behind his small ownership of the Barclays Center, where he was the first one to perform, and the Brooklyn Nets, the team he brought from New Jersey to his hometown.

This new partnership allows Jay Z to bring his label’s talent and business ventures like TIDAL for exclusive events throughout the course of the multi-year contract. That means programs with Rihanna, Kanye West, Victor Cruz, Skylar Diggins, Dez Bryant, Angie Martinez, Big Sean, Fabolous, Meek Mill, Shakira and more are sure to pop up. In addition, Jay Z will perform at the Barclays Center annually.
Barclays CEO Brett Yormark said, “This is exciting for us because it goes so much more beyond an artist coming to Barclays as part of a tour.”
Yormark told Billboard that the first event could come before the end of the summer, so look out for more details.
