It looks like Jay Z is hopping on street style’s pop-up trend, but he won’t be selling concert merch. The music mogul is getting a pop-up exhibit in New York that will commemorate the 20th anniversary of his 1996 classic album Reasonable Doubt.
Roc-A-Fella records co-founder Kareem “Biggs” Burke is bringing the exhibit to life. The “Roc96” pop-up event, which will take place for three days only, will feature a replica of Studio B Control Room — the studio where Jay Z recorded parts of his Reasonable Doubt record. The exhibit will also sell merchandise including scarves, wooden headphones, turntables, duffle bags, and more.
The New York event is following the opening of another pop-up shop that opened in Los Angeles earlier in June 2016. Instead of the studio replica, the L.A. event cloned Jay Z’s Brooklyn apartment. Also in celebration of the 20-year milestone, Jay Z’s streaming service Tidal released a 36-minute black and white film looking back on the seminal album. “This album literally saved my life…….. I can’t thank you all enough,” Jay Z noted on Twitter ahead of the film’s release.

The “Roc96” pop-up event will take place from Oct. 20-23. Visitors can stop by from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. For more information, visit the official site here.
