Just one week after Jay Z’s second all-star “Made in America” festival on August 31, director Ron Howard will premiere his documentary of the rapper’s first annual event in 2012. Co-produced by Hov, the “Made In America” documentary will debut at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) on September 7.
Howard’s documentary is a presentation of the first Philly show from different perspectives including the performers, fans and the historical city in which it all takes place. TIFF describes the film as “a love letter not only to Jay Z and his unique project, but also to the city of Philadelphia.”
This year, acts like Beyoncé, A$AP Rocky, Queens of the Stone Age, Nine Inch Nails, Miguel, Solange, Public Enemy and the Black Hippy crew will grace the Ben Franklin Parkway stage for the three-day event.
