Jay Z’s triumphant return to his native Brooklyn may have been the hottest stop along his 34-date Magna Carter Holy Grail tour. The duo shows on Jan. 12 and 13 marked Hov’s first solo appearance at the Barclays Center since he christened the building in September 2012.
To commemorate his homecoming, Barclays Center enlisted Brooklyn artist One-9 to design a custom stained wooden piece for Jay and celebrity jeweler Lorraine Schwartz gifted a leather bracelet with two interlocking blue sapphire jewels. Bey’s main squeeze brought down the house he helped build with his most memorable hits and cuts off his 2012 LP Magna Carta Holy Grail. He was also accompanied by a live band and producer extraordinaire Timbaland.
