Prior to the life-altering situation with Dreamville, J.I.D. chased his 10,000 hours–the number of hours that promises perfection of one’s craft. Somewhere in the midst of those hours, the budding emcee released Bears Like This Too Much project, which features the likes of EarthGang, J.Cole, Bas as well as production from Mac Miller and others.
Bears Like This Too Much contains the Quentin Miller-assisted, “M.O.M. (mind over matter).” This week, Dreamville’s newest member released the music video for slow-tempo track, “M.O.M.” In the video, J.I.D. and Miller entertain lustful women in a room where red neon lights cloud the open space, and newspapers cover the walls. Along with half-clad women stoking the rappers egos, stealthy snakes move in the vicinity as well.
Be on the lookout J.I.D.’s Dreamville debut, The Never Story.
