Joe Budden is no stranger to throwing up the bird to his haters.
On his latest release, Joey channeled his lyrical brilliance for the third single off his upcoming AraabMUZIK collaboration album Rage & The Machine. Titled “I Gotta Ask,” Joey had some things to say about the track.
“The beat immediately took me to a very nostalgic place; it just felt good” said Joe to BET. “Hopefully, it’ll have that same effect when others hear it; I’d like for that to resonate.”
The Slaughterhouse rapper spits over the astutely sampled Into The Woods, even spinning lyrics from Jay-Z’s classic ‘Hard Knock Life’ into his own.
Rage & The Machine will be released this Friday (October 21). The 11-track project has features from fellow Slaughterhouse artist Joell Ortiz, as well as Stacy Barthe, Tory Lanez, Fabolous and much more.
