
Juelz Santana has reportedly pleaded guilty to bringing a loaded gun to an airport in an incident that led to his arrest in Mar. 2018. The rapper pleaded guilty during a court hearing on Aug. 16, The Washington Post reports.
As previously reported, Santana attempted to bring a loaded .38-caliber handgun in his bag through security. at the Newark Liberty International airport. When authorities discovered the weapon, the artist fled the scene. He only turned himself in several days after the incident occurred.
In addition to the weapon, security found nonprescription oxycodone pills in his bags. He was originally charged with possession of a loaded handgun and the narcotics, but the latter was not part of his plea deal.
Following his arrest, Juelz was placed on house arrest, where he was required to live with his mother. A judge granted him permission to tour along with Dipset during his house arrest however, as long as he agreed to undergo anger management.
Santana is facing up to 20 years in prison in relation to his guilty plea. He is set to appear in court for sentencing on Dec. 12. The rapper has not issued a statement regarding his current legal situation at this time.
