On Tuesday (Nov. 20), K. Michelle gave fans a taste of her upcoming fifth studio album FAB with a new slow burner ballad, “Save Me.”
The DJ Camper (Nicki Minaj, H.E.R.) produced song finds K. Michelle in a vulnerable place, giving her all into a former lover whom she thought she could depend on. “I just wanted you to save me / But you never did, all you did was / Play me / I just wanted you to save me / But you never saved me/ Cause you tried to take my heart with you / Wanted to break me,” Michelle belts.
K. Michelle performed the song on the reunion of Love & Hip-Hop: Hollywood, where she is a part of the cast. She is currently putting the final touches on the follow-up to 2017’s critically-lauded Kimberly: The People I Used to Know.

Michelle is also no longer with Atlantic Records, with whom she released her first four albums under. The singer quietly signed a new deal with eOne, making her an independent artist. In October, she announced that her fifth album will be titled FAB, an acronym for F**K All U Bi**hes.
As of Tuesday afternoon, “Save Me” is currently sitting at No. 6 on the iTunes R&B Songs chart.
