In December 2013, Kanye West had a major headache of a lawsuit over his viral Yeezus single “Bound 2.”
Enter Ricky Spicer, the lead singer of ’70s group, Ponderosa Twins Plus One, who accused ‘Ye, Roc-A-Fella Records, Universal Music Group and Island Def Jam Music Group of using their song “Bound” without permission.

Fast forward nearly two years later and Mr. West has settled the suit in a New York court, according to paperwork dated March 6, Billboard reports.
Spicer claimed in 2013 that he received zero compensation despite the song’s massive success, probably thanks to Kanye’s wife, Kim K., riding a bike naked in the video, and Seth Rogen and James Franco’s LMFAO-worthy parody.

This isn’t the first time West has been hit with legal strife over samples (see: the first two lines from his verse from Vic Mensa’s “U Mad”). A sample on his 2005 cut “Gold Digger” launched a lawsuit in April 2013 from the children of funk legend, David Pryor.
