Kanye has been full of emotions these days. First, he apologized to Beck and Bruno Mars (who admittedly hated on earlier in his career), and now crying during an interview. Earlier, he did an interview with BBC 1 Radio host, Zane Lowe, where he got choked up when speaking about his late fashion mentor Louise Wilson.
“The last time I saw her we had dinner at Hakkasan, my favorite restaurant in London. I think she knew she was gonna pass, and she just wanted to give me some words of advice to move forward. She was asking me about my daughter,” he said. She was asking me about my wife […] She told me, she said, ‘Thank you for the times you came to performances. This has really meant a lot to me.’”
The FourFiveSeconds-rapper then had to take a break during the interview to gather himself after covering his face and sobbing about Wilson’s impact on him. He even mentions that shedding tears has never happened in an interview before.
Is this a new side of Kanye that we’re going to be seeing more of? Should we get used to a (dare we say) humbled Yeezus? Check out the touching moment (beginning at the 24 minute mark) and the full interview below.
