Day two of Drake’s annual OVO Fest was held in Toronto last night (August 1), and Drizzy continued to roll out surprise guest after surprise guest.
After appearances and performances by French Montana, Popcaan, and Rihanna (for the second day in a row no less), the 6 God decided to press the ‘Ye button. Kanye West rose from below the stage through a dense fog to blow concert attendees’ collective minds. This marks the second year in a row where Kanye has been a guest performer. Also, just recently (July 27), he came out during Drake’s Summer Sixteen Tour stop in Yeezy’s hometown of Chicago.
The vibes were different last night however. In Chicago, Kanye addressed his ongoing feud with Taylor Swift, but last night, the only focus was on music. Before rolling into his Life Of Pablo hit “Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1,” Yeezy made a very special announcement.
Kanye teased the crowd by stating, “Is y’all ready for this album?” Stopping the music right before the drop of the song, then he clarified that he wasn’t talking about his solo album The Life of Pablo or the other album that he has been talking up recently Turbo Grafx 16. Instead when he asked the crowd the question a second time, he pointed clearly at Drake, insinuating a collaboration album between the two super stars may be in the works and on the way.

You may not remember but a Yeezy x Drizzy collab album isn’t a new thing. In an interview back in 2015 with The Breakfest Club, Kanye told them that the song “Wolves” was inspired by discussions the pair had about collaborating.
“The ‘Wolves’ song came from a conversation that me and Drake had, when was gonna do an album together, and the album was called Wolves,” Kanye said.
Drake would come by and just help, no strings. Future also came by to write. We all got new shit together that’s gonna drop soon.

Fans who attended the festival last night tweeted out that Drake later confirmed the joint album, saying, “And what he was asking, was are you ready if we made an album.”

Kanye ended up performing a couple of his largest hits yesterday. He performed his verse from the Drake banger “Pop Style” while also finding time to do “Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1,” “Famous,” and long time hit single “Runaway.”
