Everyone needs friends like Kanye West. Remaining in a giving mood after surprising fans with personal deliveries of his Yeezy Boost adidas, West’s generosity found its way to Dave Chappelle last night (Feb. 14). In a moment shared by his wife Kim Kardashian on Instagram, it was revealed that Yeezy gifted Chappelle with a pair of his new kicks – but not just any pair. West gave the comedian the Yeezys from his own feet. “Kanye gave Dave the shoes off his feet #Yeezys,” she wrote. West and Chappelle’s friendship dates back to the rapper’s first televised performance on Chappelle’s Show back in 2004. Last summer, Chappelle also told the story of his first meeting with West, which was a testament to the rapper’s gleaming confidence. “You know Kanye. You could just tell that he was going to be a star. I didn’t know him until he did the show; my friend was telling me ‘You gotta book this guy Kanye.’ I said okay, I booked the guy, and it was like Muhammad Ali in Olympic village. He just knew he was going to get the gold,” he said. Looks like Yeezy got the gold, and a heart of gold.
