Kanye West stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! for the first time since their infamous fake feud in 2013. During his Thursday (Aug. 9) interview, the outspoken mogul held nothing back. He discussed everything from suicidal thoughts and what he wants engraved on his tombstone, to his daughter North’s time at fashion camp.
Of course, he talked a bit about his most recent studio-album, Ye. He divulged that it was therapeutic to dig for beats and samples for the LP, especially after his release from the hospital in 2016. He notes that it reminded him of what he loves most about music, and took him back to his early music-making days at his mother Donda’s house in Chicago.
While he was particularly stumped after Kimmel brought up his “George Bush doesn’t care about black people” comment in reference to Trump, there were otherwise no dull moments during the interview, thanks to some memorable quotes and explanations. Here are some of our favorites.
