With emerging into the fashion industry, planning a future purchase on urban online retailer, KarmaLoop with Damon Dash and testing the waters musically all on his plate, Ye’ plans to do the same with his agents. After his three year relationship with Cara Lewis and CAA, Creative Artist Agency, Ye’ decided to call it a quits for UTA, United Talent Agency.
According to TheWrap, his camp released an official statement on the switch:
“Kanye West has the utmost respect for Cara Lewis, and has had a close working relationship with her for many years. The decision to change agencies is based on Kanye’s continuing desire to diversify and search for new opportunities.”
CAA works with a variety of artists such as Common, Daft Punk, Lion Babe and T.I., however Kanye is one of the biggest names on their list. With his album dropping in a few months, we’re sure to expect something different.
