UPDATE 04.25.18 10:01 a.m. EST: Kanye hopped on Twitter early Wednesday morning (Apr. 25) to confirm reports that he and his manager Scooter Braun had ended their business relationship. “I no longer have a manager. I can’t be managed,” he wrote. “I’m nobody’s “client”.” While Yeezy failed to provide more context regarding the split, his final tweet seemingly supports claims that he did give Braun an ultimatum to represent him full time or move on.

There’s no need to wonder where Kanye West’s management team has been amid his controversial rants on Twitter this past month, because he apparently has no management at the moment. According to a new report, West has reportedly split with his manager Scooter Braun.
It’s unclear when the two parted ways, but Braun was reportedly joined on his way out by members of West’s legal team, TMZ reports. While Kanye’s recent political statements seem like the source of everyone’s frustration, TMZ sources claim the rapper actually gave Braun and the rest of his team an ultimatum: work with him full-time, or hit the door. Braun reportedly has a lot of other clients and obligations to tend to, so sticking with Yeezy full-time was not going to happen.
While it seems that Kanye may have been the mastermind behind his staff’s resignation, sources suggest he’s been acting erratic and even more out of character than usual. According to reports, Kanye wants his brand to be bigger than Apple and has been working obsessively to make that happen. Even so, people close to the rapper claim he’s spiraling out of control.
Scooter’s company aided in the launch of Kanye’s Adidas fashion line. Despite Kanye and Braun’s split, the two are reportedly on good terms. It’s unclear whether Ye will be seeking new representation at this time.
