Amid getting hospitalized, Kanye West has yet again found himself in hot water. Before his health scare, the “Famous” rapper performed a bombastic diatribe before abruptly ending his Saturday night (Nov. 19) concert in Sacramento, Calif. In his discourse, where he attacked The Carters, he also had some choice words for radio, alleging that the medium only uses its airwaves for playing the same songs over and over again; excluding other artists, reports Billboard.
In a video posted by Sacramento’s KHHM Hot 103.5’s Justin “JayMarzz” Marshall, Ye’s “Fade” song was followed by his honest thoughts on the 39-year-old artist’s recent rant, and its repercussions. “That’s the last time you’re going to hear Kanye West’s ‘Fade’ on this radio station — also the last time you hear any Kanye West song on this radio station for a very long time,” Marshall affirmed.
His main concern was the way Ye’s fans were cheated out of enjoying the full show. “Time is something we can’t get back. Everyone can get a refund back, but you can’t get your time back. You can’t get the emotion back that you were gonna put into that show, to watch someone that you love… This is called a moment, folks; these are what make our lives,” he continued.
The music director also emphasized that part of West’s success stems from the power of radio.
