Lil Wayne may claim to be of a different breed but it should come as no surprise that whoever he wants on his album, he gets…including Kanye West
“Yeah he got some music on there,” Wayne confirmed of Yeezy’s contributions to his I Am Not A Human Being II to MTV News exclusively. “It’s crazy, actually I don’t want to give too much up but he’s got a big hand in the album, you’ll see.”
Though members of ‘Ye and Wayne’s respective camps YMCMB and G.O.O.D. Music have traded shots on wax (see Pusha T vs. Wayne and Birdman), it hasn’t shifted their musical relationship. Kanye holds credits on Weezy’s 2008 album Tha Carter III, manning the beats for “Comfortable” and “Let the Beat Build.” They also appeared together on T.I.’s “Swagga Like Us” and Yeezy’s 808s & Heartbreak cut “See You In My Nightmares.”
Yeezy isn’t the only beat boy to provide the backing for the Young Money boss’ album due December. “Production on the album — I got people like Juicy J, Cool & Dre, David Banner on down to uh — I mean it’s so many, shoot,” Wayne said.
Though he’s keeping tight-lipped about the project, the “No Worries” rapper promised back in June that Human II will capture the essence of his previous works. “You’re getting the quality of all my albums: Tha Carter IV, Tha Carter III, the same with thisI Am Not A Human Being II. Hope you like it.”
