Kanye West is picky when it comes to his furniture. After hiring Sandy Gallin to pick out exclusive pieces to furnish his Calabasas home, Ye wasn’t happy with the designer’s choices and demanded it all be returned. The Life of Pablo artist later learned a return wasn’t possible and then placed all the furniture in storage.
“Kanye walked into the house, decided he hated all the furniture brought in by Gallin, and demanded it be returned to the vendors,” according to Page Six. “But they refused to take it back, so he took it all out and threw it into storage. He then spent a fortune on a new set of furniture.” News of Ye’s furniture debacle comes as a source of irony to fans who remember Ikea rejecting his furniture collaboration offer.
After already pouring a hefty amount of funds into the decor of his still unfinished Calabasas home, the 39-year-old has called on the highly regarded interior architect, Axel Vervoordt to finish the job. The delay comes much to the dismay of Kim Kardashian who wants to settle down with her family, especially after the Paris incident. Kim has become “annoyed” with the direction of the interior design project and amount of money Yeezy has already spent on it.
