Now that Kanye West is admittedly out of the sunken place, he thinks he’s thinking clearly. Mr. West took to social media last week to address Drake and Nick Cannon about perceived comments made about his wife. Ye then returned to social media taking note of its culture and wondered would the environment online be the same if likes and followers weren’t public.
“Speaking for myself I personally want to participate in social media with the option of not having to show my followers or likes.” Kanye tweeted. “Having your amount of likes on display for the world to see and judge is like showing how much money you have in the bank or having to write the size of your d**k on a shirt.”
Displaying one’s riches, whether it be a new home, car, jewelry or money isn’t new to social media (or in any aspect of life). JAY Z briefly touched on this subject on “The Story of O.J.” which subsequently rubbed a few of his rap peers the wrong way.

There were some who understood the sentiment behind Kanye’s tweet but said the idea wouldn’t work for many. Wife Kim, however, seems to be in support of the proposed plan and took to social and responded with “Big facts.”
