Kanye West may be experiencing hard times at the moment, but he’s not out of the game yet. New reports claim the rapper is still trying to maintain his seat on top and asked for recording equipment to be brought to his bedside at UCLA Medical Center.
“Kanye keeps wanting to work. At the hospital, he requested that recording equipment be brought to the hospital so he can record in his bed,” a source told Us Weekly. “And he has kept asking to see sketches of his fashion lines.” The Fader also backed up the reports, saying a source confirmed that Ye is “eager to work and has been requesting a studio set-up.”
According to Us, Kim Kardashian, who has reportedly been by West’s side since he was admitted into the hospital on Nov. 21, has to keep telling the Chicago native to rest. While new music from Yeezy is always welcome, taking it easy may be a good idea. The 37-year-old artist’s shocking hospitalization follows a number of controversial remarks regarding Donald Trump’s presidency, racism, and Beyonce. After reportedly being hospitalized for exhaustion and anxiety, new claims suggest the rapper has been suffering from paranoia and depression.
In light of the recent events, an outpour of support, love, and prayers have come from Ye’s friends and fans in hopes of a healthy recovery. West was reportedly supposed to be released from the medical center on Monday (Nov. 28), but after further evaluation, he was not cleared. A release date has yet to be scheduled.
