Kanye West always knows how to get people talking, and last night during the Sacramento stop of the second leg of his Saint Pablo Tour, he proved that even after a few weeks of silence, he hasn’t lost his gift of hitting people’s nerves.
According to multiple concert goers, the Chi-Town rapper paused his show to discuss the outcome of the 2016 Presidential election. He said that he was a fan of Donald Trump, enjoyed his debate style, called him a “genius” and then said that if he voted this year, the president-elect would have gotten his vote.

After getting hit with both boos and a few objects from angry fans, West said that he respects those who voted for Hillary Clinton. His comments, as documented by Twitter user @RaptorJesuss, made it seem like he was finally relieved to get his thoughts out about being a Trump supporter.
“Kanye says Scooter Braun told him not to come out as a Trump supporter before election night,” she wrote. “Kanye said as a black man and as a celebrity he felt persecuted for supporting Trump, feels vindicated.” @RaptorJesuss also wrote that the “Fade” MC said that neither Trump nor Clinton “would fix racism in this country” before walking off stage and ending the show.
