Kanye West has set up shelter in Uganda for the past several days to work on his pending album. Since his time in the East-Central Africa country, the Chicago native met with the nation’s President Yoweri K. Museveni to discuss arts and tourism, TMZ reports.
The meeting, which was held on Monday (Oct. 15), was also attended by West’s wife Kim Kardashian. The entertainment news website states West gifted Museveni with a pair of Yeezy sneakers. “I held fruitful conversations with the duo on how to promote Uganda’s tourism and the arts,” Museveni tweeted. “Enjoy your time in Uganda. It is the true Pearl of Africa.”

West then shared his vision for Uganda with the political leader that concerns the nation’s wildlife. “This is going to be like Jurassic Park, Disney World,” West said. “Also when I saw the safari, I was thinking about this is how all zoos should be.” The “All Day” artist also expressed interest in the other industries of attraction that Museveni would like to implement. “And have a discussion about what would make the entire country be the most…to be a Wakanda,” West said. “To be the most thriving.”
West recently came under public scrutiny when he said the spirit of legendary artists Bob Marley, Tupac, and Fela Kuti were within him. The latter musician’s son, Seun Kuti, responded, “On behalf of the Kuti family, I want to state that the spirit of Olufela Anikulapo Kuti isn’t anywhere near Kanye West.”
