Atlanta’s rising star Kap G gathered a few of Atlanta’s major players to help deliver more trap-laced rhymes on his sixth mixtape El Southside. The Mexican lyricist follows up last year’s Real Migo Shit 3 with his first Gangsta Grillz mixtape hosted by DJ Drama.
Kap is notorious for spitting bars unforgiving about his Latin heritage since making his official debut with his first release Real Migo Sh*t in 2014. After spending the last two years dropping off five projects and appearing in his first film DOPE — the Atlantic Records signee falls back on his College Park roots in an effort to turn his latest body of work into a humble reflection of his ascension to stardom.
Along with DJ Drama, Kap gathers fellow ATL natives YFN Lucci and 300’s Young Thug to throw down verses over Atlanta-influenced beats produced by KE On The Track, Squat Beats, and super producer Pharrell, who’s responsible for crafting the title track.
