R&B veteran Keith Sweat is no stranger to laying down the feel-goods on a smooth melody. That’s certainly the case for his latest groove, “Good Love,” which debuted earlier this year, but now received the visual treatment.
In an interview with Vibe, the “Nobody” singer shared that he produced “Good Love” and still manages to nourish his soul off the genre of R&B.
“Me being older, more mature, I still love R&B, the great R&B music from the past influences the music I create today,” he said. “My love of music, what it does for my soul, it makes me feel good and I want to give others that same feeling and create music that they can enjoy. It’s all about good love.”
With scenes that’ll probably make you want to go on a date with your significant other ASAP, Sweat wines and dines his leading lady in his latest video, and busts a few moves on the dance floor, which he said came naturally to him while on set.
“I actually didn’t take a single choreography class, didn’t learn any moves, I just do what I felt, it just came naturally, came from the good music and what was inside my soul,” he shared. “Once the music turned on, I just said..let me do this one, two step, and be done. I let the music guide my movies and grooves, which I want people to do as well when listening to the record.”
