
Keke Palmer is moving on up when it comes to the musical side of her career. The actress made a big splash in New York with her debut as the first African American Cinderella to play on Broadway last fall. Now instead of on the Broadway stage, we’ll hear her voice in album form in the coming months.

Keke has officially inked a deal with Island Records and, according to EW, will release her first single this fall. To follow up that bit of good news, the Scream Queens actress will be hosting the Island Life All-Star on Sept. 8 at New York’s Best Buy Theatre. The lineup includes Nick Jonas, Kiesza, Shawn Mendes, Timeflies and American Authors as well as some surprise guests.
