Kendrick Lamar just added another festival appearance to his stacked 2016. The Compton native will perform at the NCAA’s March Madness Music Festival, alongside other artists on the bill like Maroon 5, Jason Derulo, Pitbull and Flo Rida.
Reportedly, the event’s organizers already solidified the performance list, but surprised future concert-attendees with Lamar’s presence.
This news follows the release of his critically-acclaimed unfiltered, unmastered album which sat atop the charts upon its release. The eight-track soundscape came as a surprise drop to fans from the TDE camp, and reportedly featured throwaway melodies that were possible songs on his Grammy nominated album To Pimp A Butterfly.
The 2016 March Madness Festival will take place in Houston, Texas from Apr. 1-3, with Lamar taking center stage on Apr. 2.
