After Chris Rock and Prince tear down Saturday Night Live on the same night, “tough act to follow” becomes the understatement of a lifetime. But if anyone can make a splash after such a legendary episode, it would be Kendrick Lamar. TDE’s frontrunner is scheduled to serve as the musical guest on Nov. 15, as Woody Harrelson holds down hosting duties. This will be K. Dot’s third appearance on the show.
While he will likely perform his self-love anthem “i,” many are hoping that Kendrick previews a new track from his forthcoming album, like the rumored “King Kunta” single. Either way, the rapper has proven his pechant for on-stage energy, even with his recent perfomance at the Cleveland Cavaliers season opener. And we’re sure no one is opposed to including Kendrick in another comedy sketch after his contribution to The Lonely Island’s return last year.
SNL will take a hiatus this coming weekend, but will return with K. Dot on Nov. 15.
