Kendrick Lamar and ScHoolboy Q have called themselves brothers in the past, and apparently they fight like such, too.
On Monday (Dec. 14), a Twitter user hit TDE’s Top Dawg on the social media outlet to get clarification on a recent studio “scuffle” between the rappers.
“Aye @dangerookipawaa my cousin was in the studio the other night tellin me Schoolboy q & K Dot got into a scuffle…,” wrote the fan.

After confirming the mix-up, Top Dawg explained that what went down was nothing more than a typical family tiff. “Just family having a minor disagreement. Nothing serious,” he wrote in response.

Immediately after Top Dawg’s tweet became visible on his timeline, another fan chalked the argument up to there being too much talent in the ‘Stu at once. “Too much 🔥; in one session,” the fan wrote.

“That’s all it was,” the label CEO said in response.

Q and K. Dot have been known to engage in friendly musical fire before. When Groovy Q was prepping the release of his debut studio album Oxymoron in 2013, the Cali native told Fuse that he was aiming for Lamar’s throne.
“Kendrick Lamar is everybody’s favorite rapper, but I’m gonna be there and take Kendrick’s spot. He knows I’m coming for it.”
Still, the rapper said that nothing but love existed between the two of them. “He’s my brother and I love him to death,” he said.
UPDATE:
Kendrick Lamar and ScHoolboy Q joined in on the rumor floating around today, sharing a comical video of the TDE cohorts fake-slap boxing each other. It’s safe to say that all is good within their camp.
