Originating from the island known for its white sand and clear blue beaches, Trinidad & Tobago, Kes The Band is making their rounds throughout the United States, officially introducing themselves to the mainstream markets.
Throughout the Caribbean islands, the band is known for its up-tempo soca music, whose style incorporates calypso and reggae. From “Thiefing A Wine” from women to behaving “Wotless” and not caring, the artists are showing their versatility with their new single, “Major.”
This is the band’s first single since being signed to Chuck Harmony and Claude Kelly’s Weirdo Workshop Label.
“What we’re doing now with them involves a freedom of expression that we’ve never experienced before and we can’t wait to share with our fans and to make new ones,” said lead singer Kes.
“Major” incorporates a mix of rock, reggae, and Caribbean rhythms.
“‘Major’ is the rock n’ roll record by the rock n’ roll band we’ve been waiting to hear, for years,” said Claude Kelly. “It’s catchy and with one listen you remember it, but you get its got all the edge that a band needs to take the world by storm.”
