Kesha came out and thanked fans for their support after a court ruling on Feb. 19, in which a judge denied the singer’s request for a preliminary injunction. The “We R Who We R” singer will continue to be locked in her contract with Sony amidst her allegations that her longtime producer Dr. Luke raped and emotionally abused her, among other claims.
“I am beyond words in gratitude,” she wrote in an Instagram post Tuesday (Feb. 23). “Thank you is not enough, but it is all I have, a million times over and forever thank you. the support I have received has left my face swollen from tears. I love you all so much.” She also promised to release a “statement too large” for social media. The pic, a selfie of an obviously distressed starlet, corresponded with the caption. It has been liked over 98,000 times.
The outpouring of support for the pop star during and after her case has been incredible to see. Stars such as Wale, Lady Gaga and JoJo are all standing by the star, and the #FreeKesha hashtag has been popular among Kesha fans (“Animals”) and more supporters on social media.
