Khia has a problem with Quality Control and their breakout rap duo City Girls. The veteran rapper recently called out QC’s Pierre “Pee” Thomas and the City Girls for sampling her 2002 single “My Neck, My Back” without crediting or paying her.
City Girls reportedly sampled Khia’s track on this song “F**k Dat N***a,” which was the debut single from the 2017 compilation project, Quality Control: Control the Streets Volume 1.
Khia hopped on Instagram, where she shared a video blasting Pee for not cutting her a check. “Pee, you know I’m mad at you because you let those dirty a** City Girls sample my s**t, and you didn’t pay me,” she said in the video message. “While you act like you got so much motherf**king money… If you was a real n***a, you woulda called the queen to go and write for them dirty ugly a**City Girls…”

#PressPlay: Oop! #Khia has some words for #QC CEO #PierreThomas #CityGirls 👀👀👀
Pee didn’t directly respond to Khia’s insults, but he did post some receipts on Instagram on Tuesday (Jan. 8) for the record. One post appears to be a letter addressed to him, confirming that QC paid $10,000 to clear the use of Khia’s track. The other posts show a copy of the check as well as the confirmation letter QC received for clearing the song.
“We cleared ‘My Neck, My Back’ with E1 who owns the master and Memory Lane and Third Side Music on the publishing,” Pee politely wrote to Khia in the caption. “I suggest you reach out to your publisher regarding the clearance. We have the agreements for the use and everyone was paid… You definitely set the pace with your monumental track. Keep blasting the City Girls.”
Well, Khia can’t ignore the receipts. She may want to hit up her publisher to see about her money. Check out Khia’s video and Pee’s rebuttal above and below.
