In the aftermath of the deadly shooting at a gay nightclub in Orlando this past weekend, many musicians have voiced their support for the victims and their families. Kid Cudi is using the incident to create a teachable moment within the hip-hop community.
“The Hip Hop community is the least outspoken about gay rights and Ima go out my way to change that,” Cudi tweeted, to which Ty Dolla $ign gave his movement a co-sign soon after with a tweet of his own.

Cudi continued to tweet that as a community, hip-hoppers need to do more than just give their prayers and donate money, and if there are homophobes following him, he requests that you hit that blue rectangle in the right hand corner and unfollow him.
We’re glad to see that someone is trying to take this movement to the next level.
My heart and prayers go out to the LGBT community and everyone affected by this tragedy. Really upset today.

I wish there was more I could do than tweet, build awareness and donate money. Thats not enough. Not for me.

IF YOU ARE AN INSECURE HOMOPHOBE AND HAVE A ISSUE WITH GAYS AND EQUALITY, UNFOLLOW ME NOW. THANK YOU
