Kid Cudi may be in rehab, but that doesn’t mean he’s taking any jabs lightly. In commemoration of Drake’s 30th birthday last Sunday (Oct. 23), Drizzy unveiled a slew of new tracks on his Beats 1 program, OVO Sound Radio. One of which, “Two Birds, One Stone,” received plenty of backlash for Toronto native’s apparent comments directed at the recently-admitted, Cudi.
In typical hip-hop fashion, the 6ix rapper spat bars in reference to the Indicud lyricist saying,
You were the man on the moon /
Now you just go through your phases /
Life of the angry and famous
Taking into consideration, Drake’s track record with ghostwriting rumors and Cudi’s twitter rant, it’s highly possible that this track is a result of a studio session that immediately followed Cudi’s rant–which came before his admission into rehab–making the sting a little less harsh. But, since The Man On The Moon’s admission preceded Drake’s release, should Drake have probably taken the line out and worked around the edit? Probably.
But nonetheless, Kid Cudi got word of the preview and is ready to confront Drake face-to-face upon his November 5th release from rehab. The 6ix god better be charged up for this one.

Earlier this week, Drake’s manager shared his thoughts on Drake’s bars, calling his jabs “corny as f***.” You can hear “Two Birds One Stone” at the 75:03 mark down below:
