Friends and family said their final goodbyes to Kim Porter – model, actress, and mother of four, who tragically passed away on Nov. 15. The funeral was held in her hometown of Columbus, Georgia on Sunday (Nov. 25). Diddy, Porter’s ex and father to three of her children, delivered a heartfelt eulogy painting Kim as an angel on Earth.
Diddy shared that Kim was a person who showered anyone around her with love, loyalty, and wisdom. “Anybody that knows Kim, knows that she’s just that person that you vibe with,” he said. The 47-year-old particularly worked her magic on Diddy, whom she dated off and on for more than a decade.
“She felt like God sent her here to help me out. I’d be like, ‘Girl, what are you talking about?’ I didn’t really understand how to love […] She really started breaking down the exterior of any shell that I put up,” he added.
He also addressed his kids–Quincy, Justin, Christian, D’Lila, Jessie, and Chance–during his speech. “I just want to say, to my kids… your mother instilled in me this, that I pledge in front of everybody right now, that I will always be there for y’all,” he continued. “I will always take care of you. To the girls especially, we’re about to enter into some different type of times. I want y’all to be able to talk to me about everything, and I mean everything.”
Since her passing, Diddy and many other friends and family have dedicated posts on social media to honor of Porter. Her second eldest son, Christian Combs shared a photo of his mother at a young age on Instagram following the funeral. “I miss you mommy,” the caption reads.
As previously reported, Kim Porter passed away on Nov. 15, after suffering from pneumonia for several weeks. The cause of death is still unknown at this time. Her funeral welcomed celebrity friends including Kimora Lee Simmons, Faith Evans, and more.
